Services for Mary G. Wilson will be held Tuesday, Feb 9th, 2009 at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Gregory Joiner, Hal Bates, and Harold Cummings officiating. Burial will be in the First Baptist Church Cemetery of Collinsville.
Mrs. Wilson, of Collinsville, died Saturday Feb. 6, 2010 at Riley Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She retired from Rush Hospital after 25 years of service. Mrs. Wilson was born on May 12, 1927 in Opelika Alabama to Oza Eugene Gammill and Ada Ruth Knight Gammill and married her childhood sweetheart and the love of her life James M. Wilson on Dec. 15, 1945.
She is survived by her daughters Dana Hamilton, Lynn Joiner and husband Jackie Joiner all of Collinsville MS, Grand Sons Steven Hamilton and wife Renee of Collinsville, MS, Lenny Joiner and wife Vonda Kaye of Gastonia, NC, Gregory Joiner and wife Ellen of Nashville, TN. Grand Daughter Angelia Austin and husband Nathan Austin of Robertsdale, AL. Greatgrand children Ashton and Alexis Hamilton, Kayelen, Kaleb, and Micah Joiner, Special niece Brenda Cummings and husband Harold, Nephews Jerry Wayne Vinson and wife Pat, Mark Vinson and wife June, Richard Gammill and wife Barbara, Charles A. Gammill and wife Jeannie, Gene Smith, and along with her loving dogs Cricket, Brownie, and Lulu.
She is preceded in death by her husband James M. Wilson, parents Mr. Mrs. Oza Eugene Gammill, sister Alma Galloway, brother Richard Gammill, brotherinlaw Jerry Vinson, sister inlaw Jessie Vinson, brotherinlaw Winston Gullette and sisterinlaw Gladys Gullette.
Visitation will be Monday, Feb 8th from 5 until 8 p.m. at Webbs.
Pallbearers will be Grandson Steven Hamilton, Lenny Joiner, Gregory Joiner, and Nathan Austin, along with William Newton and Harold Cummings.
