Madeline (Kitty) Dumas age 79 of Meridian MS went to be with the Lord May 18, 2020. She was born June 4, 1940 in Mobile, Alabama. She had many passions like singing, playing multiple instruments, and teaching the Word alongside of her husband and Pastor, Darrell Dumas. Mama was the epitome of a true southern woman. Aside from her Faith in God, she was a faithful wife and wonderful cook. A meal wasn’t complete at Mama's house without her famous baked ham and mashed potatoes! She left a legacy of faith for her family by teaching her children and others to love and honor the Lord Jesus Christ with their lives. That legacy has touched hundreds of souls over the years and will live on in eternity.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Reverend Darrell Dumas; four children, Cindy (Merv) Wheeler of Beebe, Arkansas, Clement White of Toomsuba, Mississippi, Memory (Clea) Berry of (Quitman, Mississippi) and Nikki (John) Williamson of Collinsville, Mississippi. She has 18 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and multiple great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Clement and Ladema Champagne and one sister Patricia Champagne.
Stephens Funeral Home of Meridian is presiding over the graveside service located at Stonewall Cemetery in Stonewall, Mississippi on Wednesday, May 27 at 2 p.m.
GUESTS WILL BE RESTRICTED TO THEIR CARS for the service due to COVID19. At some point, when it’s safe to gather, we will have a huge Life Celebration ceremony at Touching Hands Ministry, and all will be invited!
