John Lewis Blanks, Jr.

Mr. John Lewis Blanks, Jr. (Johnny) was born October 4, 1962 in Porterville, Mississippi, to John Lewis, Sr. and Susie Blanks who preceded him in death.

He accepted Christ at an early age.  Johnny lived most of his life in Porterville, Mississippi where he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Johnny departed this earthly life on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS.

Johnny leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Rotrell Monroe of Bailey, MS; six siblings, Willie (the late Eddie) Hopson of Grand Rapids, MI, Kathleen (the late Tommie) Hopson of East St. Louis, IL, Georgia (Clarence) Williams of San Antonio, TX, Pearlie McDonald of Cohokia, IL, Wayne Blanks of Porterville, MS, and Vivian (Lurenzy) Jackson of Lauderdale, MS, a good friend, Willie C. Hopson of Porterville, MS; and a host of nephews, cousins and friends that will truly miss him.

Mr. Blanks will have a Homegoing service on Saturday, March 18, 2023 beginning at 2:00 pm, with Reverend Clarence Williams officiating.  There will be a one hour visitation prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.  Webb & Stephens Funeral Home - North is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
