A private family graveside service will be held for Mr. Charles Plaisance.
Father Augustine Palimattam will officiate.
Mr. Plaisance, 76, of Union, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
He was a retired educator, which during his career, influenced many young people’s lives. Many of his former students still kept in contact with him during the years. Mr. Plaisance was a very giving person, supporting many charities and his church, Holy Cross Catholic Church in Philadelphia, MS. He held master’s degrees from the University of Mississippi and Louisiana State University (LSU). He enjoyed studying history and was a true LSU and New Orleans Saints fan. He enjoyed collecting coins and exploring horticulture in his greenhouse and garden. His most recent enjoyment was raising daylilies.
Mr. Plaisance is survived by his daughter Kim Plaisance; sons Eric Plaisance (Tammy) and Chris Plaisance; grandchildren Jacob Sean, Dylan and Ethan Plaisance along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He is also survived by his special friend Willie Baker.
He was preceded in death by his parents Anaclet and Judith Marie Plaisance; wife Linda Dickinson Plaisance and five siblings.
In lieu of flowers, Mr. Plaisance had requested that you give to the charity of your choice.
