James Alton Mosley, 78, of Meridian, passed away January 18, 2019, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. A private graveside service was held January 20, 2019 at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Enid, with Rev. Ben Kennedy officiating. Stephens Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
After graduation from DeKalb High School, East Mississippi Junior College and University of Southern Mississippi, Mr. Mosley worked at General Supply and Machine Company of Meridian for fifty-three years.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Betty Anne Mosley; daughters, Deanne Mosley and Jennifer Mosley; brother, Wallace Mosley; several nephews; and the General Supply and Machine Company family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Dee and Dollie Mae Mosley; and sisters, Gloria Mosley and Gayle Butler.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the University of Mississippi Foundation - School of Law, 406 University Avenue, Oxford, MS 38655, or the University of Mississippi Medical Center - School of Medicine, Development Accounting, 2500 North State Street, Jackson, MS 39216.
