Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Clay will be held Sunday, March 4, 2018, at 3:00 pm at Stephens Funeral Home in DeKalb. Revs. Chris Gully and Randy Rigdon will be officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Cemetery in Scooba.
Mrs. Clay, 65, passed away March 1 at Specialty Hospital in Meridian.
Linda was a homemaker who provided her family with the warmth that only a mother and wife could provide. Mrs. Clay loved her family and was active in every part of her children’s life. She especially loved her grandchildren. Her caring heart also was shown as she cared for her aging mother.
She is survived by her sons, Tommy Clay and Tyson Clay and wife, Beverly; daughters, Kristy Gillis and husband, Robert, and Kasey Watkins and husband, Scott; grandchildren, Braxton Stokes, Burket Gillis, Brody Clay and Riley Watkins. Mrs. Clay is also survived by her brother, Bill Bryan and wife, Johnnie as well as numerous cousins, niece and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Clay; parents, Edwin and Sara Bryan; grandchild, Sara Beth Gillis, and numerous uncles and aunts.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 1pm until service time at the funeral home.
