I served in the Air Force.

Freeman E. Palmer, 80, of Meridian passed away at home Monday, April 1, 2019.
He was born March 4, 1939 in Kemper County, MS. Freeman retired from Structural Steel at the age of 75.
Services will be held at Stephens Funeral Home on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 12 noon.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Kemper County. Bro. Chris Gully will be officiating.
He is survived by his brothers Dr. Martin Palmer (Linda) and Mike Palmer (Janice); his three children Mary “Tiny” Cook (Baxter), Vanessa Smithson and William “Bill” Palmer; stepson Lee Ford (Sara); three grandchildren Daniel Cook, Samantha Cook and Darby Smithson. He is also survived by his great grandson Alexander John Freeman Cook along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Shirley Palmer; younger brother Ramon Palmer, son in law Steve Smithson and his life long friend and mother of his children Ina Dale Palmer.
